Captain John Hyland has been fishing out of Shinnecock Inlet for over 35 years.  He has specialized in offshore fishing for the last 25.  His son Brian Hyland has worked in marinas and on boats since he was 12 years old.  He started fishing at age four and has been hooked ever since.  Captain John took his son on his first offshore trip at age nine and ever since they have been targeting all pelagic species.

They have captained the Gusto IV up and down the east coast including multiple trips to the Bahamas.  This crew has placed in tournaments from NY to Walkers Cay. 

Gusto IV is outfitted with top of the line tackle, a full complement of Shimano and Penn reels, as well as state-of-the-art electronic & navigation equipment – all of which ensures that she is fully prepared for the BIG FISH!

Gusto IV is a fully customized 45 foot Viking.  It is conveniently docked right inside the inlet so once the lines are tossed off we are breaking the inlet in minutes.  We are on the main dock of Oakland's Restaurant and Marina. 

All new electronics were just installed, including:
HD Radar, HD fish finder, Dual GPS, Dual 12 inch displays, one 10 inch display, night vision cameras, DVR and security cameras to catch all the fishing action, 26 inch HD TV which displays all if the navigational information and the fish finder and underwater cameras.  We also had extensive custom work done on the interior decor.
